A Brave New World: Building Strength and Resilience
If you are IEP faculty, staff, or an administrator looking for a practical and inspirational professional development experience, please join us for the 6th annual IEP Mini-Conference – A Brave New World: Building Strength and Resilience. Recent changes in our field are forcing us to be smarter, leaner, more creative, and more adaptive. Let’s pool our strategies to find new ways to attract students and better ways to teach them. By working together, we can not only share our concerns but also brainstorm ways to make our programs stronger and more resilient. It’s a brave new world out there, but we have the courage to face it!
About the Conference
IEPs have always faced the challenge of responding to change, and the last year has been no exception. Yes, these are turbulent times but IEP personnel are “long-term optimists” and we are able to rise to a challenge. By sharing knowledge, experiences, and ideas, these challenges become more manageable, and working in an IEP becomes more rewarding. This one-day mini-conference addresses the specific needs of IEP faculty and staff and focuses on solutions and collaboration. The conference is sponsored and organized by representatives of four Georgia universities and EnglishUSA, a national association of IEPs. It includes lunch and an informal meet-up after the conference at a local establishment.
Preregistration is required to present and attend; there will be no on-site registration. Registration will be $15 for everyone and will include snacks, coffee, and a catered lunch in addition to all sessions, materials, parking, and wi-fi access.
