Over 40,000 students from Kazakhstan study abroad, the U.S. being the 3rd most popular choice. Open Doors reports the number of students from Kazakhstan studying in the U.S. is 1792 for the 2016/17 academic year. 486 Kazakhstani students have enrolled in graduate programs, a 4.7% increase from the previous year. Almost 52% of Kazakhstani students are pursuing undergraduate studies, continuing to outnumber by all other categories. Undergraduate studies include Associates’ and Bachelor’s degrees

 

Megan Tetrick, Cultural Affairs Officer at the U.S Embassy in Astana, Karen Bauer,EducationUSA Regional Educational Advising Coordinator (REAC), and Dana Ziyabekova, EducationUSA Adviser in Almaty are pleased to provide an educational briefing to U.S. universities about recruiting students at the EducationUSA Tour 2018 (October 6-13 to Astana, Aktobe, Almaty) and partnerships with Kazakhstan universities.
