Rethinking & Retooling Student Recruitment: A Hybrid Future

In the last several months, most EnglishUSA members adapted quickly and pulled their courses and programs online. Time is being devoted now to enhancing online offerings for summer, but the multiple variables and unknowns for the future remain, making recruitment planning a challenge. What we do know is that students will still want to learn English and will seek the experience of living and studying in the United States. What we need to accept is how students choose their paths to our programs and institutions has been changed forever. Perhaps for the better!

Join Julio Ronchetti and Sebastian Fernandes from FPP EDU Media for a provocative discussion on how we need to rethink student recruitment and how virtual outreach options with prospective students and agents will have a permanent impact on English language programs operations. They’ll share results from a student survey conducted this month on how COVID-19 has impacted their study abroad plans as well as another survey directed to agents on how they are reacting to the COVID-19 crisis. As a group (or in breakouts depending on size of group), we’ll reflect on the potential of the technology to enhance the relationships with prospective students and partners. Ample time will be allowed for questions and comments.
