Program Application

Member Programs shall be intensive English programs (IEPs), pathway programs, or a set of English support courses and must be (1) governed solely by a (community) college or university; (2) jointly owned and operated by a third-party provider; or (3) owned and operated as a proprietary single or multi-site. 

Membership is program-based--all employees of each site have access to the benefits provided. For July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025, dues will be $959/site.
 
Applications for membership will be considered for a program which:
  • is located in the United States
  • is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training (ACCET), the Commission on English Language Accreditation (CEA) or sits under the governance of an institution accredited by one of the seven Regional Accrediting Organizations
  • offers full-time English language instruction for intensive English programs OR is the primary provider at an institutional pathway program for its English courses OR is the provider of English language support courses at the graduate or undergraduate levels 
  • primarily serves post-secondary, adult students
  • is overseen by a person whose clearly defined responsibility is the overall administration of the program including the selection, evaluation, and retention of qualified faculty and staff
  • has an established curriculum allowing for the differentiation of program participants by level of proficiency, instruction during stated sessions, and orientation and advising services
