Ashlee Allen is a Senior Instructor at PLACE (Programs for Learning Academic and Community English) at Colorado State University, with 25 years of experience in English language teaching and community-based education programs. She specializes in designing and teaching content-based courses, as well as online and short-term programs that adapt to changing learner needs. Her work includes youth and immigrant education initiatives, and most recently, development of a synchronous online literacy and test preparation course for English language learners with visual impairments. Grounded in access and service, she is dedicated to creative curriculum development and expanding opportunities for nontraditional learners.
