What is EnglishUSA?
EnglishUSA is the recognized national voice for post-secondary English language programs (ELPs) in the United States. We represent intensive English, pathway, ESL support, customized, and summer programs across public, private, and independent models.
Who are EnglishUSA members?
Our membership includes ~200 accredited and institutionally-governed programs, along with Associate members, partner agencies, and industry supporters committed to quality English language education.
What are the key benefits of membership?

How does EnglishUSA advocate for programs?
EnglishUSA collaborates with national and international partners, submits annual recommendations to federal agencies, participates in coalitions, and represents programs at key conferences and policy tables impacting international education and student mobility.
What professional development is included?
Members receive access to 3–4 complimentary events per month, including webinars, ZoomArounds, town halls, and informal meetups. Faciliators for webinars and ZoomArounds also provide professional development opportunities as well as the call for proposals and journal submissions for the peer-reviewed open-access journal twice annually.
How can my team get involved?
Membership is program-based, meaning all staff at your program can participate. Team members can:
- Join EnglishUSA Engage discussions
- Attend events
- Volunteer as reviewers or mentors
- Present at conferences or submit journal articles
