Bill Wallace served as Director of The University of Alabama English Language Institute for 30+ years before retiring from UA in 2021. During his career, Bill served in various capacities in a number of professional organizations, including as AIRC site reviewer, AMTESOL president, CEA commissioner and site reviewer, EnglishUSA board member, NAFSA Region VII ATESL chair, StudyAlabama board member, and UCIEP president.
