Intermediate DSO Workshop: Navigating Compliance Scenarios in English Language Programs

Strengthen your DSO decision-making in a fast-paced, 90-minute, scenario-based workshop designed for English language program professionals who already know the basics.

EnglishUSA invites DSOs and compliance leads to a hands-on, intermediate-level workshop focused on real-world F-1 advising and institutional/programmatic compliance for English language programs. The goal is to provide participants with more advanced ‘deeper dive’ into issues related specifically to ELP DSOs (and DSOs/PDSOs who work with English language training I-20s).

Presenters from university-based and proprietary ELPs will share information that will help ELP DSOs comply with legal and institutional reporting requirements. Discussion time will be included to share questions, challenges and successes. We will be reaching out to registrants for issues they’d like addressed.

Building on foundational knowledge, this session uses case studies, guided discussion, and practical tools to help you navigate common, but sometimes complex scenarios (e.g., completion, reduced course loads, transfers, proof of funding for I-20 issuance).
