Lena Shaqareq embodies the journey of an English Language Learner. Born and raised in Qatar, she moved to the United States at 15 and has since become a seasoned professional in TESOL, boasting over 14 years of experience. Lena holds an MA in Adult Education with TESOL concentration and a Cross-Cultural Management certificate.  She teaches TESOL undergraduate courses at the University of North Florida, and ESL classes at Florida State College at Jacksonville. Lena worked as a virtual educator in Mauritania, Ethiopia, and Tunisia, and served as Guest Expert for American English's Teacher Corner. Additionally, she contributed to various TESOL boards, including serving as President of Northeast Florida TESOL and English for Occupational Settings Representative for TESOL International. 

Through founding LENa Institute, Lena offers occupational English courses and services and has authored several books.  Her passion for education drives her to share her knowledge and pursue professional development at various conferences.
