Join fellow EnglishUSA members for informal, interactive virtual conversations designed to help you connect with colleagues, exchange ideas, and tackle the opportunities and challenges facing English language programs. These are member-driven discussions—not presentations—with plenty of time to ask questions, share experiences, and learn from one another.

There are 3 types of community conversations: 

ELP Shop Talk

Practical problem-solving with colleagues. Bring your questions, compare approaches, and leave with ideas you can use right away.

Peer Perspectives

Learn from a colleague's experience. Hear how another program navigated a challenge, launched an initiative, or found success, then join the conversation.

The Water Cooler

Connect with colleagues. Casual networking and conversation designed to strengthen relationships across the EnglishUSA community.

Complimentary & Exclusive to EnglishUSA Members.

Community Conversations are offered throughout the year and are complimentary for members. Sessions are typically 30–60 minutes, and you're welcome to join as many as you'd like.

Lead a Community Conversation

Have an idea worth discussing? We'd love for you to facilitate a session.

Whether it's an ELP Shop Talk, Peer Perspectives, or The Water Cooler, leading is easy. Simply suggest a topic and a few discussion questions—we'll take care of the Zoom technology, registration, and logistics. All you have to do is guide the conversation.

Individuals, Associate Members, Strategic Partners, and member program representatives are all welcome to propose a session.
